My name is Melissa Lewis. I am an 18 year old Communication and Multimediadesign student at the Hogeschool Utrecht. I was born in The Netherlands, but I have lived in Nicaragua for 7 years. So I can speak Spanish, English and Dutch. I love to travel and discover new places.
I graduated in 2015 with my HAVO diploma. In september of 2015 I started my study at the Hogeschool Utrecht. Utrecht is also the place where I'm currently living. At my study I learned to work with adobe creative cloud. My best skills are with InDesign, Illustrator and After Effects. I am also known with Photoshop, Premiere pro and Muse.
As a designer I am interested in the storytelling behind a campaign. I like to create concepts and content. Especially for people and organisations that work to make the world a little bit better.
"Imagination is more important than knowledge" - Albert Einstein
I made this logo for the website of "werkgroep Utrecht Leon". This is a group that plants trees in Leon, Nicaragua. You can check their website at: utrechtleon.nl
I made this with illustrator. I was inspired by the comic art and decided to make a self portrait in this version.
De Fietsersbond in Utrecht asked us to think of an app that will motivate the dutch people to cycle more. So we created Fusic. With this app you can play your music while cycling. But, the speed of the music depends on the speed you are cycling on. "Cycle the right speed, for the right speed of the music!" was our slogan. This will make it more fun to bike and also to stay motivated to stay on the right speed.
This is my first motion graphics animation. I made it in Adobe After effects. The video is about a boy who wants to be in space, he decides to try to reach there, but it doesn't work the first time. My message in this video was that you shouldn't give up easily.
With a classmate, we had to make an app that would improve the user experience of a subject. We chose to focus on the user experience of travelling by train as a disabled person. We made this animation video to show the problem, and to give a solution.
